Do you have any short term leases?

Generally all our leases are for 12 months.

What is required for Security Deposit?

Security Deposit is equal to one month’s rent.

When is rent due?

Rent is paid in advance & due by the 1st of every month. Late fees are applied on the 2nd of the month.

Who do I call for maintenance?

During business hours, call the MK Property business office (785-776-1936) or complete a routine maintenance request form. If you have an after hours emergency call the Emergency Maintenance number at (785-341-8850). Routine maintenance will be prioritized & scheduled with the tenant.

Can I bring a pet into my leased property in the middle of my lease?

Pets are only allowed in specific properties. A Pet Agreement is required. Pet Deposit & monthly Pet Rent is also required in properties that allow pets. Evictions will occur for violations of the pet policy.

Can I change the interior paint color of my property?

No.

Can I pay rent with a personal check?

No – We accept cashier check, money order, cash or On-Line payments.

How do I know when a property is “available” for lease?

All properties available for lease are featured on the “Available Units” page (green box) along with the date they are available.
